Troubleshooting

Please find below a quick troubleshooting guide for your fridge/freezer, where we hope to resolve the most common issues with your fridge/freezer. If you have any further questions, feedback or suggestions that are not listed, then do please contact us.

My fridge/freezer wont turn on, what should I do?
There are several things to check if you are unable to get you fridge freezer to turn on.
  • Is the power is on at the wall.
  • Is that the fridges power switch set to on (not all fridges have one, please check the products manual).
  • Some fridges can operate on both AC and DC supplies, check you have set the switch set to the supply your using.
  • Check the thermostat is correctly set.
If the above steps fail, try checking another device in the same socket to rule out a faulty socket. If the other device works try changing the plugs fuse, otherwise try another socket. If the issue persists you may have a faulty fridge/freezer.
My fridge/freezer is making a gurgling noise, is this normal?
Yes, compressor fridges/freezers will make a gurgling noise while they are cooling. Once it has reached temperature the noise will stop, however, it may return when it needs to cool further. A warm fridge may take up to 24 hours to reach its optimal temperature, if it persists after this duration you may have a fault.
My fridge/freezer is making a loud noise, is this normal?
It is common for compressor fridges/freezers top make a gurgling noise (see "My fridge/freezer is making a gurgling noise, is this normal?") above. If you have a thermoelectric fridge it is common to hear a low whirring nose, this is the fan cooling down the fridge/freezer. If the fan is making a loud noise, check there are no debris interfering with the fa. If the issue persists you may have a faulty fridge/freezer.
